Ian Connolly
Executive Engineer
A founding director, Ian is a senior executive with a background in civil engineering on large infrastructure projects. He has over 30 years of experience in the design, specification and construction of track, heavy civil engineering infrastructure and electrical and mechanical projects in Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom.
Ian has worked on major rail projects, including the Airport Railway project in Hong Kong and the Taiwan High Speed Railway and several construction and refurbishment projects for British Rail and London Underground Limited in the United Kingdom.
As well as general engineering management of transport infrastructure projects, Ian is a known risk management and safety assurance professional, and has experience in reviewing and workshopping strategic risk issues at the highest levels of government agencies. He has successfully led teams through the TfNSW assurance processes for all stages of the asset lifecycle.
Ian has advised senior government managers on risk strategy and assisted in guiding and developing the change of processes required to address railway project and road/rail interface issues.
